BONDED IN BLUE
“The Legacy of Brooklyn Tech Football”

The Adam J. Cirillo Scholarship Foundation is excited to announce its first venture into documentary film production. BONDED IN BLUE “The Legacy of Brooklyn Tech Football” is an insightful cinematic endeavor celebrating the 100-year history of Tech Football. Set against the backdrop of Brooklyn Technical High School, the camera introduces us to the ongoing story of not only a football dynasty, but a group of men who originally met as young boys on a hard-
scrabble, dusty football field. With scores of outstanding teams and hundreds of exceptional players, Tech football is known for its winning tradition and commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, which creates bonds that are profound and lifelong. There is something incredibly unique about putting on that blue and white jersey at gametime – a sense, in those moments, that you are in the center of the universe. This is the story of Tech Football.

From its first game against Bronxville High in October of 1922 to its latest game against Truman High this past season, BONDED IN BLUE “The Legacy of Brooklyn Tech Football”, features on-camera interviews with Tech’s coaches and players, both past and present, rare game footage, still photographs and newspaper articles that haven’t seen the light of day for ages. The film faithfully captures the full richness and depth of our great Tech Football Program throughout its storied history.

Produced and Directed by Steve Gerbson, an award-winning Hollywood Producer, Director and Cinematographer, and former Tech Football Player from the Class of ’69, Steve has promised us a beautiful visual record of 100 years of Brooklyn Tech Football. And everything we have seen so far indicates that he will deliver a film that will make us all proud. From The Producers

One thing everyone we talk to seems to share is that Brooklyn Tech, and playing football for Brooklyn Tech, was a life-changing, transformational experience, and truly set the foundation for all of our future successes in college, graduate school and in our careers. And for most of us, some of our closest friends today, over 50 years since graduation, are our teammates from the Football Team at Tech.

So to all of you players, parents, coaches, alumni and friends of the Tech Football Program new and old, know that you are all part of a large family of people who love Tech Football and the promise it holds for all who proudly wear the Blue and White. The 100-yr legacy and traditions of hard work, teamwork and giving back to the community will live on through you, through us and through this great documentary film. I hope that everyone reading this will generously support this film, BONDED IN BLUE, and come to our Gala Premiere early next year.
