Charles Assiff

Charles Assiff, Tech class of ’49, he was a 3-year starter for the Engineers. Charlie played offense and defense and was team captain in 1948, he was also 1st team Brooklyn Eagle All Star in his senior year. Charles was the winner of the Dznev Award (MVP). Charles went to University of Pennsylvania and starred in football. Charles was the older brother of Tech Hall of Famer Billy Assiff class of ’52, he returned to Brooklyn Tech as Coach in 1950’s. Charles worked his entire professional career for Scott Paper Company before retiring as director of sales. He was married to his wife Barbara for 39 years. He is survived by his 2 sons Matt and Charles Jr and HIs Daughter Cindy alonge with 2 grandchildren Charley and Jolia. Charles’ Love of football continued throughout his life as he held several coaching positions on both the college and high school level Charles Assiff passed away in 1994.
